Nice one DDL!! I might even dig the one I got from a car boot sale out from the far reaches of the cupboard beneath the microwave!!

Good idea Snadger - I think they are super this time of year - lots of casseroles, stews, soups etc. just the thing to warm the cockles of your heart when your footie team has been thrashed well and truly! DDL

Can anybody recommend a good sized slow cooker for two people? I still have the Tower one I bought in the early 80s for the four of us. It has been used and used, so it doesn't owe me anything, but its a bit large for two.

I bought my mum one from Lakeland for Christmas which is a smaller size as shes on her own. She says it does enough for 2-3 portions and is really pleased with it. Think it was about £20.

I got a rival crockpot yesterday having read this thread. Did a Thai curry last night and it was great. How do you do a joing of beef or say a whole chicken in it?
                  Any receipes would be great......
