  • An Indisit or Beko washing machine????!!

My old Indesit has finally given up the ghost after 7 years hard slog (2 washes a week anyway) and 4 housemoves.
We have been eeking it out for about a month or so, but faced the fact we are just gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

We dont have a massive budget, approx £200 and have found these two:
Currys - Shop for Washing Machines - BEKO WM5120W White 5kg Washing Machine
    and/or
    Buy INDESIT IWB5113 | 1100 spin washing machine - Laundry & Dishwashers | Comet

We like the indesit because we have had indisits for the last 2 washing machines, but the Beko is a better engery efficiency...
If anyone has any experience of either this particular machine or the makes or advice please pass it on...
    Thanks in advance xx

have you tried typing them into Google or the Argos website for reviews?

Here's one for the Beko: http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/pl/14-1...Compare-Prices

and one for the Indesit: http://www.reevoo.com/p/indesit-iwb5113

We had a BEKO cooker and it was absolute PANTS, very cheap and nasty, you can get Beko cookers/fridges/freezers/washing machines the company IMO wants to be all things to all men and does all things medioca rather than a few well.

You might get a cheap one from here - check prices on google before bidding, note that they also only have 6 months guarentee...

Have you got a Tesco near you? If you have there's some good bargains to be had, plus you get club card points as well, might be worth a look. Personally I'd go for the Indesit if I had to chose, you've had them before, you know what your getting, no washing machine is going to last forever, I had a servis washer for 18 years, I only got rid of it because I couldn't get a replacment seal for the door...Blady good washer as well. I have a Candy now, also a good washer.

After recently buying a washing machine & a tumble dryer, I would not go anywhere else. I saved £100 on Comets price for the same washing machine. Plus they have a great delivery service.

Thanks for the heads up on Beko, Paul - I did kindo of wonder as they seem almost too good to be true

Hey Northepaul, our WM gave up the ghost on 2nd January and we got the Beko - and I can safely say that it's been great since we've had it. The drum is a bit smaller than the hotpoint that we had before (came with the house), but apart from that it washes great, spins quietly and efficiently and so far so good. We had a Beko cooker in our last house and was still going well after 5 years when we moved out. Can't remember which company Beko is basically the back door label of (in the same way that the new Skoda's were VW's), but would easily recommend them from our experience. We got ours from Argos as they had a deal on it and also got them to take away our old one.

We have an indesit and it is fab, no nonsense, tough as old boots and does the washing far better than the machine that we had before that cost nearly £150 more.
If you are able to put abit more to the cost of the machine try the Indesit Moon, bloomin good washer, easy peasy to use and an AAA rated appliance too.

Thanks all, we decided on the indesit in the end - its being delivered Thursday and they take the old one away too, which was imperative to which company we chose.

Did look at the Moon Miffy, looks lovely and thanks for the recommendation, however finances dictated we went for the least expensive one!

I still havent worked out how to use my Beko properly and thats with the instructions. OH went to put the washing on one day and couldnt work it out at all. Now if I am away for a day and want the washing done, I have to set it up so all he has to do is turn it on.

We've always had Zanussi washing machine. We're on our second in 22 years. We bought an Indesit D/W a couple of years ago to replace a Zanussi one which gave up after about 19years and in comparison it's pretty carp. Definately better to look online cos you can get better deals on prices and delivery etc.
