  • Seed Saving - storage recommendations please

    Hi
I would like to start saving my own seeds properly and wondered what everyone used to store them in and where to get them?
I have seen various different things, little envelopes, little poly bags, etc, which is best?
I have not managed to find any for a good price, could you recommend somewhere to buy them please?

    Ta muchly

I mentioned before about the bags for coins you get from the bank, free?

I'm not sure if the plastic money bags would be any good for keeping seeds - wouldn't they 'sweat'? Just a thought

Real seeds are big on seed saving and they sell little plastic bags, so guessing they think it is ok to save in plastic

This isn't a problem as the seeds must be 100% dry before putting them into their final storage place.

I use a mixture of sealed poly bags and the brown wage slip packets you can buy as shown by piskieboots. My MIL sinply uses brown envelopes.

I bought some small brown envelopes that my kids used to take money to school in. a bit smaller than wage packets.
