A couple of ideas for you...
Make some holes high up on the walls of the shed, that will improve the ventillation
If you can make the roof out of clear or translucent plastic that will make it lighter inside
Similarly, paint the inside walls white or a bright colour like yellow

Thanks Geoff. I've been looking at ones with ventilation under the eaves and skylights. A bit more expensive, but probably worth it. (And, having worked stupid hours all year, the lottie might as well benefit somehow! )

Oddly, I'd thought of painting the inside sunshine yellow - my favourite colour and, as you say, light-reflective. And the nearest to sun we get some years up here...

chap a couple of plots along from me has put up a metal shed, and i jump everytime something falls on it, esp in the autumn when the acorns are falling lol.

Ho ho ho....................

Does that mean I'll be woken up every 5 minutes, whilst trying to sleep... erm, that is... washing plant pots?!
