Don't know whether this is cheap at £3.97 from Tesco's? But I think it is!
Good, clearly written, instructive, softback book!

Possibly??............... There could also be abstract ones!

i've got the full size book and its worth every penny and i paid £6 for mine 5 years ago , i also bought the pocket shrub guide and it's so compacted together it's hard to read .
Somebody bought me the full size on a few years ago (along with the fruit one) and I've used it quite a bit. I already had the original vegetable one but it was about 20 years old and didn't include a lot of the veg we grow these days so the updated one has been very good. It's not exactly an interesting read like some of the books I have but very informative and at that price, if I didn't have it I'd be off to Tesco tonight.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I love Dr Hessayon's books (have the full size ones). I use the vegetable one the most and I love the fact that it gives you expexted germination times, expected yields, and how long the seed can remain viable. An excellent reference book that I refer to time and time again.
I also have this book and refer back to it time and time again; in fact, through the growing season it lives on the coffee table rather than the bookshelf!

Aren't you posh? There's no coffee table in my shed!
