  • Perspex/acrylic suppliers?

Last night I decided to use up some spare timber I had laying about, and some chipboard that was spare from a mix-up with my shed.

Anyways - I know it's a bit late for this year, but I made myself a cold frame.

Still needs painting and hinges put on it but I'm quite pleased with it.

I have a couple of sheets of glass, but they are too small for the frame. Does anyone know of a source of perspex or acrylic or something similar that they'd recommend before I go a googling?

Hey Wayne, good job! I have just got a few sheets of corrugated plastic stuff (technical term) to renew a couple of "panes" in my greenhouse. Theyre pretty big so you may only need one. Cost about £5 something each from B&Q.

I think it's corrugated plastic stuff that I'm after. The double skinned stuff with a 'honeycomb' of slats that join the two skins.

Similar to that shown on this page; Polycarbonate Online | Polycarbonate Solid | Timber Support Bars | Self Support Bars

      I think.

Will have a look in B&Q at the weekend though. Cheers.
