Digger's diary, Tales from the allotment by Victor Osborne
I've just discovered this brilliant little book, and read half of it in bed last night after Gardener's World. It's not a How-To, more of a diary. I left the book at the point that vandals had just broken into the Lottie and burnt down the sheds...they swaggered off knowing the police wouldn't touch them. Highly recommended

I may have got carried away. I typed in 'Allotment' as a keyword search at my online library, and have now ordered 9 books. I bet they all come in at once as well.

Just finished this, thanks for the recommendation Two Sheds. I think it would make a great gift for any veggie gardening friend.

I've just read this, and it's a fabulous book. Highly recommended.

His allotment site sounds lovely (a big one too), but the website he gives at the end of the book didn't seem to come up as their allotment website. , which is a shame as I would have like to have liked to have had a look.
