    I used a couple of simple disposable waterproof 35mm cameras when I dived on the Barrier Reef. It was a few years ago and before digital but the prints were great. focusing was fixed and no adjustments but as long as you got close enough to fill the frame the results were pretty good.
    The deeper you go the less light and less colour but for snorkelling or shallow SCUBA I would do the same again.

      Just got a bargain on ebay......Brand new boxed Vivitar 5399 with waterproof case & 2gb SD Card......about £60's worth for £22 inc p&p. I'm a happy man.......Thanks for all of the advice, I have spent about 3 to 4 hours today sending myself loopy looking at different options.
