  • Correspondence course - Garden Design

I am very keen to spend the long evenings ahead studying Garden Design
and hopefully get some sort of qualification out of it.
Has anyone done one of these courses and what was their opinion of
it?. Did you feel it covered everything etc?
Was it worth the time, money etc?

    Cheers
    Shush

I'm doing Design with Plants with these guys - I like them and the material, they cover other types of garden design as well.

    Good luck

Sounds like something I'd love to do (looking to change my career) - have ran my own businesses before, and know what you put in you get out - but could I ask is this your sole income?

Also, fancy designing my garden any of you two? What's rate would I be looking at too?

Cheers everyone for the valuable info. I want to change careers and looking
to do the Diploma as I want to achieve a formal qualification.
I love Graphic Design but my passion for plants seems to be overtaking that.
Cant afford to give up work and go into fulltime learning though so this
          might be just the ticket.

Sounds like an opportunity CHRISMARKS to have your first go at designing
          like a pro.

I've often considered it, but there's soooooooooooo many people doing it, I'm wondering if the market isn't already flooded!? I have known professional garden designers giving up and changing career because they couldn't get enough work. Fingers crossed for you all!

Sorry, didn't mean that to sound as negative as it does.

I'm not doing my course with a career change in mind, it is purely for pleasure and gaining knowledge of planting
