Yep I like you have had nothing but excellent customer service.

So Davyburns it seems likely that they didn't receive your email, because emails I've sent them were replied to within 24 hours.

Suggest you email again or give them a call.

Just found a new code valid until 18th August, says 100% extra on food items.

Big Brands for Less voucher codes & discounts ? 100% extra free shopping | moneysupermarket.com

I tried to insert the code in the MoneySupermaket box but it says code invalid so I was going to put it in the coupon code box instead.

Has anyone used this code yet?

I've not tried it, but I woud have thought you could go through the normal website and then put the code in at the bottom of the page, as we did for the last offer. Then as a follow-up send them an email direct stating what you have done and is this ok etc. Alternatively send an email first and have confirmation before you place the order, then let us know the outcome on here.

If 100% is buy 1 get the same again free, then that makes it a better offer than the previous offer, as you get exactly what you want.

I emailed them yesterday and received this reply:

              Hi ********

That's correct whatever you order on FOOD products we will double totally FREE of charge.

              Thanks and regards,

              Louise

Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device

Just placed an order so hopefully the glass jars of Sharwoods sauces are better wrapped than the things I have received from Approved Foods.

Blimey, they are intent on grabbing some new customers and good luck to them

I have ordered 3 types of the 3.5kg of flour amongst other things so I will have to make room in the freezer for some I think if I am going to be receiving 6 bags!

Yep it's a competitive market out there and I think Big Brands for Less promotions take the edge off the others.

I received an email from Approved Foods today, they are offering 10% off whatever you order - code "Birthday" this weekend. But so far I feel Big Brands for Less is staying 1 step ahead with offers and the customer service I've received has been excellent. Such as Louise responding out of office hours on her BlackBerry to 21again confirming the promotion.

I will be placing another order today, can't resist buying 10 tins of lentil & bacon soup and getting 10 more free. That works out as 5p a tin, thanks to M&S for doing short lived promotions!

Just to be clear, as there are now so many comments about different codes etc, if you want the offer of buying 1 get 1 free, the the code is:

                      BB4L100%

Just add it at the bottom of the checkout page, sorted!

I wonder if you can cook the doughnuts in the oven instead of hot oil?

I have just found this regarding doughnut mix:

                          Cake Donut/Doughnut Mix 1.5kg

I've never made doughnuts before and certainly wouldn't be interested in cooking them in oil, but if you like kitchen gadgets google doughnut makers. You just pour your mixture in and press the lid down, simple and healthy.

I don't have a doughnut machine myself, but I do have a sandwich maker which I feel works on the same principle. Obviously your doughnuts would not look like doughnuts, but I feel it would be worth a try.

I've not tried it yet myself, it's something I might try in the autumn or winter months to eat in front of the fire with a nice mug of hot choc.

I found another link to baking them in the oven:

Baked Doughnuts Recipe - 101 Cookbooks

I do have a pie making machine that I bought on a whim whim as it only cost £12, I may give them a go in that, they would be a weird shape though but it could be worth a try.

I've never heard of a Pie Maker machine so just googled and found some that do 2 or 4 small pies.

Yep if I had 1 of those I'd certainly give it a try, as all these machines work on the same principle. Enjoy.
