  • Secateur holder recommendation please

having 'lost' my secateurs AGAIN, i have decided the time has come to buy one of those holder thingies that go round your waist - dunno what the proper name of them is!

can anyone recommend one please - not too expensive...after all, i might lose that as well!!!

    thanks

I use an industrial tool belt for my stuff because it's the only way I can carry everything round with me that I want. It never goes round my waist because it's too heavy so I usually sling it over my shoulder to carry it round the garden. Has a pair of secs, a pair of specialist secs to prune vines, a seperate pocket with three knives and a small sharpening stone, pair of wire cutters and a trowel quite often, plus all the necessary bits of string, pencils, labels and a tape measure. Been doing that and so far, not lost anything.

It's nylon sort of stuff and it's designed for guys working on bulding sites so very hard wearing, bought it from Screwfix about 6 years ago. Also have a leather one still in the packet, also equally old so when this one gives up the ghost I have a replacement.

buy a pair of snickers workwear trousers http://www.bsbuk.com/store/product_i...ser__84160.jpg there loaded with pockets so you can carry everything there hard wearing so wont even if you put knifes or secateurs in the pocket tear a tradesman wearing them all day every day takes a full year out of a pair and they have a knee protection system knee pads go into two pockets in the trousers and then when you kneel down there always in the right place pick a pair up for around £45.00 maybe less if you look out on ebay i know its dearer than a secateur holster but there so much more functional
