  • Can anyone recommend a book on companion planting?

    Hi All,

I'm after a good book on companion planting for my allotment. Can anyone recommend any? There are plenty available on Amazon but I gather some of them are actually written by authors based in the States so no good really if your allotment is in the North of England...

    Many thanks
    Sonja

There are also several internet sites that are good. This is one i use:
Companion planting guide - The Gardeners Calendar
Scroll down to the page foot and click the link to the table bottom right.

I have "grandads traditional garden secrets" which has a section on it. personally i love this book has loads of hints and tips and is written during wartime so plenty of bits about making things last longer and how to make the most of your space

I've ordered the Bob Flowerdew one just the other day now. There are soooo many to chose from! Reading the reviews was also very helpful on Amazon and the likes as often it seems that some of these books are written by folks from New Zealand and America and I guess their advice will not really fit our lovely UK climate...
