Ours has arrived too, pretty big, but not impossible to handle! Hopefully will be trying it out on day off at the plot tomorrow!

That's why mine lives at the plot

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Mine's a smaller model - just boils enough for 2 mugs of tea. There are only the 2 of us at home so couln't see the point in having a big'un.

Tried ours out today also! Got a fire going quite easily (although I failed miserably with Lee's flint and steel, resorted after 5 mins to using a lighter), filled it up, 1st boil in about 8 mins, discarded that water (as per instructions for first ever use), 2nd boil in about 5 mins. All in all we made another 2 brews, both times from lighting to boiling took about 7 or 8 mins.

We were suprised by the amount of twigs used (a large amount indeed) but that was probably because we were using very small twigs (the only ones dry enough), we will be storing the prunings and drying them for later use from now on, so possibly will need fewer twigs once we get larger dry ones sorted!

We got the largest one as we often stop for a brew and chat with Pat and Colin, allotment neighbours (firm friends and a definite bad influence on us both ), so we needed something that would allow us to brew up for the 4 of us!

Overall, very impressed, means stopping working for 15 to 20 mins for a brew (time to make plus drink), but thats no great hardship, and with free fuel and a carbon neutral footprint (for its use anyhows) its definitely something we will be using regularly!

One small adaptation we made, I sat the 'base' on an upturned hanging basket (to raise it from the floor and allow the wind a bit more access to the bellows hole), which worked really well, but its now permanently attached, as the plastic coating on the hanging basket melted to the base, Ooops! Mind you, does make a really good solid base that wont burn any surface its placed on, so its actually a good idea!

Looking forwards to seeing the video TS!
