  • Shed paint

Just had a potting shed delivered, unpainted or treated.
Anyone any thoughts on long lasting paint?

Personnally I really like the stuff that isn't creasote (spelling?) - I use this a lot as it is an unobjectionable dark brown colour and seems to last for years.

You can't get creastoe any more so this is the substitue stuff.

I like blue too. I've always used the water based stuff because I hate the smell of creosote and it's poisonous for cats if it gets on their skin.

Leaning towards cuprinol ducksback at the moment, although donnakebabs cat thing could sway me as I have had a lot of problems with cats on my lawns

! I know it's in jest but plllllllllease lets not go down the cats route. A product has had its name filtered from the forum as it was suggested in its use against them.. creocote is useful for us chicken keepers, biased but I don't want it filtering if admin get wind of this thread

The dark brown creocote really is dark brown. The lighter brown stuff is more golden in colour. If you want to see the colours, there's a thread about it in the rule the roost forum - I believe 'Newtothis' was asking about it, colour wise!
