We have a NEFF double oven. No problems - it's about 6-7 years old. Had the clock on the front replaced but that's it. No experience of AEG I'm afraid.
Can only recommend double ovens, als a one that has the shelf hanger built into the sides,so much easier to clean, have heard that neff are a good make, have a google and look for reviews on the models ext that interest you,it's always an eye opener

We've had one for 15 years. very few problems.
Steve, I'm worried about you. You're becoming a Domestic Goddess. you've supplied cooker recommendations and recipes for roast spuds. Is there anything you need to tell us?
As for the cooker, mine's freestanding but I did choose it because both ovens had an A rating for energy consumption.
I don't use them you understand just install and maintain them.

Interesting!
What do you think of "pop out" knobs? (Don't you dare......)
I'm tending towards the pop out variety as my present cookers' knobs have been affected by the heat of the oven/grill when the doors were opened. I'm presuming I can push them in when the oven is on so that the heat doesn't get to them. Is that the case?

We've just bought a freestanding Rangemaster and it's brilliant - cost a lot but will last for years if it's anything like the one my mate has. Re the built in ovens you're looking at, have you checked the capacity, when I briefly looked at possibly getting one I was shocked (well that's probably an exaggeration ) by how small some of them were inside for quite a large external measurement.
Just had a quick look on Which and although some score slightly higher than others, AEG and Neff both do OK. Aren't Neff made by the same people as Bosch?
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

if they are they good, ref the size of the inner,i actually measured my old 1,and took the tapemeasure shopping with me,you are correct about sizes all different,
CT,measure your large tins and check the new oven can accomodate them,if you buying of the net, have a look on google for a supplier where you can look at 1 for yourself first, thats what i mostly do,unless its a online only item,

Re the smaller internal dimensions of some ovens - this is related to the Energy efficiency rating. The higher the rating the smaller the oven space because of the greater insulation required. The external measurements are standard to fit the carcasses.
Don't think much off the pop out knobs, just one more thing to go wrong. If your oven and grill are combined there should be a detachable shield supplied to protect control knobs above the oven.

Both cookers have a decent size main oven. One is 70ltrs capacity the other 68ltrs. I too have been shocked at the tiny size of some of the ovens I've looked at - barely big enough to get an average sized chicken in - let alone my traditional 18lb turkey at Christmas!
Honestly the coin flipping thing is looking more likely all the time..maybe make it best of three......
