  • Weather station - radio controlled and frost alert

Lidl has them £14.99. Mr VVG has just bought one, bless him. It also shows the moon phases.
Just thought I would share in case anyone wants frost alerting, although we are now in May. Good old Lidl.

They are listed at £19.99 on the website? Is this some sort of offer at £14.99?
P.S. The wild garlic you kindly gave me last year is going great guns! :-)

How does it alert you to frost?
            When it gets to zero?
Or before? Or can you pick the temp it alarms at?

Below 4°c is what I've set mine to. The parameters can be altered yes. Standard is between -1 and 3.

I think I may have made a boo boo. I bought mine from Maplins 3 years ago cost nearly £50 and it only does what yours does.

OK...have purchased one £14.99 and its up and running however not sure its paired with the external temp monitor which is only 12ft if that away outside GH...haven't tried a reset yet :P

But have to say i'm impressed with it and what it does would definitely say it ranks as one of the best purchases so far So thanks for the heads up VVG

S'alright Yekim - have you set the channel and pressed the reset button on the sensor? You should have a house symbol at the bottom with a 1,2 or 3 in it (this corresponds to your channel setting - check in your sensor again, by removing the back). You should have wireless icon, like three close brackets on the right of the house if it's connecting.

For the price difference I expect gold plating I'd hope.

So - how do you know that frost is near? Or do you have to wait until Oct/Nov to find out? Does it email you?
