  • Pull Hoe

My trusty pull hoe which I have used all my gardening life has broken. But to find a replacement seems impossible. I visited garden centres, large outlets which I know have a garden section and although everyone has push hoe's not one can produce the required pull hoe. Any idea as to where to get one...or in't it used by anyone anymore?

Hi Summer, I think you should be able to get one somewhere. Wolf garden tools do a 'draw hoe' which is the same as you want I think & you should be able to get one for about £12-£15 in garden centres or through the internet & Sneeboer tools do really good but very expensive ones (about £40!). Are there any antique centres near you? Sometimes they have old garden tools & you might be able to pick one up at a reasonable price, I've got lovely galvanised watering cans from one in Cheshire.
Into every life a little rain must fall.

I get all my garden tools from car boot sales and there are always loads of garden stuff (usually about £3.00) but its a rural/farming area

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

That reminds me of the Monty Python sketch - Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson!......

That one is about 6" wide they do a smaller one as well.

I remember that sketch as my mate ast school was called richard Jackson and he had two sheds so we called him Arthur

It is a draw or swan neck hoe I am after, and I did check the internet..Sneeboer do one at forty odd quid. Didn't really want to spend that much although if all else fails. B&Q ws one of the many places I tried but they hadn't got one. Anyhow thanks for reminding me of boot sales. I know there is a bloke who deals in garden tools regularly at a nearby one so I will be off there early on Sunday morning.
