personally, I use synthetic casings as they store easier and I break off as much as I need ....

Been thinking... Isn't the beef casings thicker sausages?Never test the depth of the water with both feet
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Last year I decided to make white pudding, not the usual hogs pudding that seems to be all we can get round here, Anyway they are thick like black pudding and I managed to get some beef skins, had to buy thousands of em though! Then when i came to fill them you have never seen such a mess, I was covered in the stuff as was the kitchen. The skins are very slippy and the mix just wouldnt go in. Then i had an idea, I gut a decorators caulking gun and washed out a cartridge very well. filled it with mix and began to pump, it was fantastic. If you havent tried real white pudding you havent lived.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Real Irish white pudding is extremely nice.
You can get 'Galtee' White pudding in Morrisons, but I know of no places locally to obtain anything else.
The Swansea - Cork ferry is no longer operating so I do not need to advise you to steer clear of their White Pudding breakfast rolls. Uuuuk. While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

Iam not sure if even the Irish white pudding is what I am reffering to. This stuff comes from the north of England and the puddings i used to get came from Blackpool. In Scotland its called mealy pudding I think. It is largely ground oats with pork fat and spices. I can taste it now.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

The stuff I have had has very little pork and is mainly oats and is spiced and Galtee is a commercial brand of the same type of stuff.

Same difference - goes by different names in different places. While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.
