  • Great value.

I was in Dublin at college today and stopped off at Nandos on the way home. I did some wandering about and ventured into Woodies. I've been pricing water butts locally and the best for a 210L is €89:99

Woodies have them on sale for €39:99. I bought one because that was all that fit in thee car, I have another reserved for tomorrow and after taking the child seat out I'll buy another one if they have any left. They have the tap and a stand with them as well as an adaptor for your down pipe.

I was looking for a second Dalek too (not really sure why) and they were €54:99 or so locally. Woodies had them on sale for €29:99 so I bought one of those too. The sale ends tomorrow so I'm glad I stumbled across it.

I could do with 5 water butts but that's a lot of running and money and I doubt they'll have many left.

£19.99 in tesco recently. Only 100 litres though. 200 in Aldi at 29.99 at present I think.

    Loving my allotment!

Bought an Aldi darlek (£19.99 ??) the other week. Very impressed with how robust and well made it seems.

Everything seems to be cheaper in England/U.K than it is for us anyway.

I went back today and got 4 more so I have 5 water butts to put around the house now. It was €250 cheaper than buying locally too. If you add in the dalek I saved €270 by shopping around a bit.

You should look into getting an IBC tank Darwin. 1000lt second hand for about 50 or 60 quid. Try donedeal.ie or adverts.ie.

Argos UK have a 210l. water butt for £37.49 and Argos Ireland have exactly the same water butt for €69.99, which are £60 I think...

I do not know if prices are in relation to wage in each side. I live behind a group of supermarkets just across the border and it is incredible how many people cross the border to do their groceries. In the other hand, many people here cross the border to buy petrol because they say its cheaper.

I do not know where abouts in Cavan you are, but there is a B&M in Enniskillen. I do not know if they have water butts, but definitively they have lots of garden tools, greenhouses, etc.
