That range looks to be constructed from lapped panels. In my experience (and observing one my neighbour has [not the same make]) they warp quite badly after 1 year. Take a look at lap fence panels that are a year old, that's how your shed will look next Christmas. If you are just using it to store rubbish in it will be good enough (for a couple of years), anything else and you would be better saving a bit of money and going for a T&G construction.

Well, my experience is "You get what you pay for".

I have a bespoke T&G shed that I use as a workshop. I have a metalwork lathe, a milling machine and various other pieces of machinery in there. It cost me £400 inc. delivery, built to my specification. It is 12 years old and is in the same condition now as the day it was delivered/erected.

I treat it with Thompsons Waterseal every year and my machinery is in pristine condition.

There shiplap and theres shiplap... if you want to have a go at making your own, I've found that Travis Perkins shiplap is considerably more robust that what you get most sheds made out of these days (other suppliers are available, but these are a good reference point).

I would build a frame from 3 x 2 tanalised timber and clad this, use some osb board for the roof and cover with a double layer of felt (that way if one layer gets ripped off in a strong wind you are still protected), lift it off the ground on blocks, bricks or a good layer of chippings for drainage and you should have plenty of years life out of it aslong as you continue to treat it.

i bought a billyoh shed (prob from this company) a couple of months ago - i know it's cheap and cheerful, but that's all i need at the moment - delivery was on time - they even brought a spare panel as there was a damaged one in the original pack - it all went together fine, no problems at all

Well i bought the Billy-oh 30 a few weeks ago. Everything seems to be here, delivery was on time and instructions seem perfectly workable. Given it a coat of paint today whilst it's still in sections and hope to have it up next weekend.

I'll report back.
