Poundland compost

Bought a few bits and bobs of gardening stuff at Poundland and got a voucher for £6 of gardening stuff if you spent £5.
Went back with my voucher and got six 15Ltr bags of compost for a fiver. Took a bit of time though as the till wouldn't accept the barcode on compost as gardening material!.
I had to get the manager though who was sick of a queue building up behind me and after my protestaion agreed that compost WAS a gardening product!

Not bad, 90Ltr of what appears to be decent compost for a fiver!

Intrigued, if you don't use compost for gardening what other uses are there? Be interesting to see how you get on with it. Assume it's a peat based compost.

I potted on some onion seedlings with it today. It has between nought and 25% peat content but is mainly made from composted bark and waste.

Can't tell what its growing capabilities are at present but I'm impressed with its texture and water holding capacity.
