I have shaken the jars quite a bit and had nothing leak out.
Just checked their website and some of their jars are now reduced in a special buy deal.
I got one from Wilkos for £3.50 and that's not as good as the one from B+Msigpic

If you are going to use them for preserving it would be better if you splashed out on the proper ones. After all they will last years with just the seals needing to be replaced.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poet

I’ve got some Kilner Jars just not enough. As you say roitelet it’s worth the extra. I’m making more chutney so I think to be on the safe side I should buy proper jars.Don’t imagine there will be many offers though as we are coming into ‘chutney’ season. Thought I’d ask. Will have a look in B&M NVG, thanks for the info.sigpic
