Gardeny places to visit in Scarborough

We're heading down to Scarborough for 4 days next week with our 2 1/2yr old grandaughter and her parents. Most of our time will be spent doing kiddie things but I'm hoping we'll have time to do something gardeny too.

Do any of you North Yorkshire grapes have any recommendations?

I like the look of South Cliff Garden

Peasholm Park is really nice, Ananke, and has a Tree Trail, plus things for kiddies to do, so it might suit the whole family.
