  • A non-gardening question: Clothes Pegs...

Having always used good old-fashined wooden clothes pegs, like my Nan had, I was growing tired of the marks they left on my laundry. Especially after getting wet a few times, so I searched for a decent sturdy plastic type as a replacement.

The pegs I eventually chose were large and sturdy, or so I thought, but after two years of breakages and damaged washing, I'm after someing else. I need three or four of these ruddy things to hold even a tee-shirt on a windy day, where two of the old wooden ones have always done the job in the past. They also seem to ping off with annoying regularity, and end-up being trodden on by us and the dogs, or cut up with the mower.

I always take my pegs off the line and put them in a bag, so they don't spend all their life in the weather - they're just useless!

Sorry, I'm waffling ... does anyone have any recommendations, please?
