  • Good digging fork

I am looking for a new digging fork as my old faithfull digging partner needs retiring as the tines are now very thin.

I have no idea what the make faithfull is as it belonged to my old pops (4 new handles mind).

Please don't suggest S&J as I would prefer something manufactured in the UK rather than China.

    Thanks in advance

I suppose it depends on your budget GL but if money is no object, I believe Bulldog are suppose to be a good make.

If you have a Tools for Self Reliance near you, they sell refurbished garden tools (and other tools).
Here's a link to the Welsh group Tools for Sale | Tools For Self Reliance Cymru

Some of the tools they were selling last weekend at a Seedswap event to give you an idea.

All in a good cause too

There is normally a stand selling refurbed tools at the Maldon Spring show if you were planning on going there & can wait a while

Also pop in your local jewsun, they should have bulldog 'evergreen' digging forks in stock, green epoxy coating on the steel work to prevent rust & make it easy to keep clean.

              Bulldog for me.
I wanted a stainless steel spade and fork as a gift when I retired and when I contacted bulldog they were happy to put an ash D handle on them for me as I didn't like the plastic D handles they were fitting on top of the ash shaft at the time. Very helpful British company and brilliant tools.
Pricey but you get a tool that will last a lifetime if looked after properly. My son has already claimed them when I've "gone"

I have some Clarington Forge (AKA Bulldog across the pond) tools here in the states and they are wonderful.

It's not like they do anything extraordinary. It's just that I have absolutely nothing to complain about when using them; well designed and strong!
