  • Seed Cell Trays

    Hi All

I am fed up of buying cheap one season seed cell trays and looking to source some that might last a few years.

Does anyone know of a good supplier?

    Thanks in anticipation

I use oaklandgardens.co.uk and but there is a place for the flimsy almost disposable ones too

GL, have a look at these, not for the propagator its self, although I have 3 and find them very good, but for the different sized numerous cell tray inserts you can buy for them.

The last batch I bought will be coming into their 5th year this coming next season and still as good as new!

      Not that expensive either!

I'm often tempted by that offer, Deano, but the seeds are never quite what I want. I've resisted so far

That's the only problem when a supplier put together their own seed selection, but I bought the allotment selection a few years back as my vegetable seed bank was running low and it met with most of my needs, which they then awarded the free propagator, and was that impressed I bought two more.

              Be tempted VC! .........................

              You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Very odd collections. The best one for me might be the Autumn Best Sellers. Includes sweetcorn, courgette and cucumber...

These cathedral city seed trays come with free cheese & toast they're a handy size for all the different tomato varieties to keep them separate. £1.75 for a pack of three in tesco, the plastic feels good like it will last a few years.

Bit late, but Charles Dowding uses this company, and I’ve ordered cell trays from them in the past.

They are commercial grade so decent quality.

Must admit, been "Dabbling" for a while as to weather to have a bash at the 84 seed cell tray as a lot of commercial growers use them to good effect bringing their seedling on! and they are by far the cheapest I have seen!

                            So thanks again!
