I am another newbie, but I lurked for a few months before joining. Like you I also have a Katy apple tree. You certainly get a lot of bang for your buck with it, I've found it to be a reliably heavy cropper. It's meant to be good for juicing and cider brewing....hmmm, maybe I should try that this year too!
