Newbie with first ever own garden

Welcome, brmead! My parents were quite keen gardeners and had space to grow quite a lot of veg. As a child I wasn't very interested but once we got a house of our own with a garden we got stuck in. Over the years we've had successes and failures, and sometimes gardening has been overtaken by family and work commitments, but now retired we have more time to put some serious effort in. Also, the rise of the internet means there is so much more information and practical ideas readily available. Enjoy the journey!
