Joined sometime ago but only just posting. What a super site, think I shall be able to find everything and anything I need on here. Moved to Lincs after living in South Glos for the last 11years. Have the garden I've always wanted after having postage stamps. It is taking some time to get it right but we have sectioned a large plot off for veggies. Last year was our second and a bit of a disaster with the weather. We are also very open and the wind howls straight across us (As my poor new apple tree will testify)yes it was staked. Hope to use the grapevince a lot more.

Hi Chris, welcome to the 'Vine
2 of my sisters live near Cirencester, and both only have very small gardens. I think one sister's house was built in someone's garden You definately get more space for your money the further North you go!! More 'weather' too though Have you got space to plant a windbreak?
Hope to see you around the boards
