Hi all - just joined - need help with bindweed please? I've had my allotment for the last 3 years and really enjoy going down there whenever I can - being a long distance lorry driver means I can only get there at the weekends - roll on retirement!! I look forward to hearing from some of you and as you can tell by my opening question I would welcome any ideas on the problem of getting rid of the dreaded bindweed!

Hi Christopher, I don't have problems with bindweed in my small garden plot so I can't offer any sensible advice apart from dig out as much as you can. This question often comes up so if you do a search for 'bindweed' (SEARCH is on green bar near top of this page) and see what comes up. Happy reading and welcome to GYO forum.
I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!

Dig it out but do NOT put it on your compost - it only needs a tiny chunk of root to start growing all over again.

I've had bindweed for the last couple of years but after lots of digging, it seems to be dying off.

      Oh, and welcome btw!
