  • Hello ;)

Hi, I'm Rachel, I'm an at home mum of 2 young children. We love planting and are currently trying to grow some tomatoes for the 1st time. We live in Aberdeenshire in Scotland, and its freezing today.

I am thinking about buying a small greenhouse, but don't want to spend alot of money as we are going to be moving from this house next year. Any suggestions?

Welcometo the vine RacheyC! A small greenhouse should be easily transportable to your next home?
btw whatever size greenhouse you buy..............it won't be big enough!

Hi Rach and welcome I'm new too and should tell you now you will very quickly become addicted to the forum, but there's lots of advice and tips so don't be afraid to ask.

This is my first year of having a greenhouse and have to agree with Snadger, although I couldn't accommodate a bigger one, this one is definitely not big enough.

      Good luck with your growing.

Hello Rachel, welcome to the 'vine. Greenhouses eh? The plastic-covered ones are pretty good, but I gather they don't last longer than a few years (the zips seem to go first...)

Hi RacheyC, welcome to GYO. Don't forget to keep the weans away from the greenhouse if you get one with glass in and keep your tomato seedlings out of the cold. The forecast tonight is seriously COLD.
