Just wanted to say hello to everyone. i've heard good things about this forum so i thought as i love my garden i might aswell join up. I have only had my allotment two years. last year was abit of a failure, due to me not really knowing what the hell i was doing. But i have read up on things (alot) and so far its going well.

Last year was a failure for a lot that do [think they] know what they are doing! so, I wouldn't worry about that - the first year is always experimental.

This is also my second year. The weather was terrible last year, I suffered some failures too. There is plenty of advise on the forum and some great tips. I find that there is so much to learn but there are plenty of friendly people to help out.

Hello Linzy, my garden is organic and I'm hopeless at killing things, so I collect slugs in a bucket, and tip them into the field next door lol there's only cows in the field not a garden so I figure its ok! Then I read that slugs have homing instincts!
