Well, sometimes Sunny Jersey - shade temp was 16 celsius today, but I bet it won't last until the weekend.
I'm a newbie veggie grower - recently moved into a house with a fair sized garden and a slightly decrepit but useable greenhouse.
So far I have planted/sown
Jersey Royal potatoes, beetroot, carrots, lettuce, rhubarb, red and white onions, garlic, runner beans, chard plus marigolds and poached egg plants for companion planting, and sweet peas for fun (but I've had a disaster with them which I have posted about elsewhere)
and been given
12 Gardeners delight tomato plants
12 Marmande tomato plants
5 globe artichoke plants
I have already learned loads from reading the forums, so thanks to all who contribute their wisdom.
This gardening lark is certainly keeping me busy - I can't remember what I did with my spare time before I got bitten by the bug!
