I live 20 mile north of York just below the north yk moors so it can be a bit chilly, I have A flower garden, greenhouse, and a fish pond, A veg garden 20yds by 10yds so not that big, Growing most of the common veg, Been gardening for 35 year but you are never to old to learn at this game.
