  • Hi there from Kimbolton!

Hi all.... I'm in the process of moving from Kimbolton to Evesham at the end of May, so it's going to be a late start on the veg this year while i reclaim some of the new garden for a veggie plot and work out what the soil is like there.

I've been veggie growing for years but theres always so much to learn and you all seem like a friendly and helpful lot!

    Welcome to the 'Vine Anusha
Will you be able to start some stuff in pots and take it with you? A new garden is always exciting though and I'm sure you'll manage to get some stuff going for autumn/winter even if you miss the spring/summer season.

        Thankyou both for the welcome

I'm growing a few things in pots to take but its going to be pretty limited to spinnach letuce toms and early potatoes... i'm hoping the beans will catch up even with a late may planting! hmmmm.. maybe not! theres so much to do on the new garden as its all mature flower beds so in need of a complete re-design to get a large enough veggie plot going! and yep..it's exciting

You won't be too late to grow bean and squash maybe? Depends on your priorities - do we decorate these rooms or do we dig a veg patch? Guess where my vote goes?

Welcome by the way. We do try to be friendly, we have fun, but we're serious about our veg and fruit.

Hi there Flummery and HeyWayne...thankyou for the welcome see you have a good rapport going here!

well its def veggie plot first priority and the decorating can wait awhile.... and taking a month out of work to make sure the veg gets done...well maybes longer than a month if i'm not as employable as i think i am!

will be looking through the archives here for info on container gardening as i havent used that as my only means of early veg before...
