Hi all,
I've just joined and thought introductions are in order. Husband Keith (he's the veg. man) and I (flower beds, orchard and borders) started creating a garden on our smallholding/building site/boggy clay area about 3 years ago.
We've had some great tips from you lot already and are about to start a new project - i.e. building our own polytunnel. Its going on a gentle downhill slope which should be interesting as all the advice is choose a level site, and we aim to make it about 18 foot wide and 40 foot long (or thereabouts). We have acquired about 100 meters of water pipe from our local water board and the promise of some old scaffold tubes from a local builder to bang into the ground and slot the pipe over. We'll let you know how we get on - but don't hold your breath it may take some time!
Nice to meet you all and happy gardening.
