  • Hi from Norwich

    Hi all,

I've just ventured into the world of growing your own veggies and have constructed a few raised beds in the garden along with a greenhouse cast off from my dad.

I'll probably be asking for some hints and tips over the coming months/years and would be very grateful for all words of wisdom.

First question - how do I stop my dog digging up my onion sets! They are set in raised beds about 3ft off the ground! First job for the weekend is constructing a bit of netting around it hopefully as a deterrent.

Look forward to hearing from you all when I'm in need.

    Chris

        Hi all,

John we're in Thorpe st Andrew.

Barry - was wondering how much seasoning you'd add to the dog. And do you find them best cooked medium or rare!

        Cheers for the welcome

I'm not sure the dog is clever enough to put up a fence!

It's on the list for tomorrow if the weather holds - can't face retrieving the thyme plant from the middle of neighbours garden after the dog digs it up again!

                Pray for some sun!

Has your dog learned to put up fences yet, Boarder? The prayers for sun worked - actually got to the lottie today! Unfortunately with two of the grandchildren so didn't get as much done as I wanted to. Too busy sorting out squabbles and stopping the youngest digging up plants instead of weeds.
