Hello all,
Been on the site for a couple of months but just starting to post. New to lotties and took the keys at end of feb, so 6 weeks or so in. 15 or so month on the waitlist & then we got plot 3mins wheelbarrow walk. Sweet. Should be perfect for the last minute cooking emergencies....
Reading the 'mare lot of people have with lotties in poor states, I think we landed on our feet. Apart from easy-to-dig-in chickweed and some legacy brassicas, the plot was pretty clean. So very quickly we've got up and running 5 rotation plots (5x5yd each), a fruity section, a herby/perenial section and just building the compost heap area. Even enjoyed the digging in the rain/hail/wind/sun. Loads planted/sown already.
Just one question - our lottie has big rabbit problem....i want to low net the 5 veggie plot area once and for all, with gates up and down the path area. Reckon it's worth the initial cost versus losing crops???
Cheers
