  • OK I admit it I'm a lurker!!

My name is Sarah and I am a lurkaholic! i am from chelmsford in essex, dyslexic (i try and use spell check but even sometimes that fails me lol) 27, married and have so far been living in awe of allotment holders or people with their own little patch of paradise in their gardens!

I am down on 3 allotment waiting lists and the smallest list i am 33rd! boohoo! they have told me not to be disheartened as there is quite a high turnover of tennants for non cultivation etc. but here i am stil waiting.

so after a chat with my kids (7, 5 and 2) we are going to use the sandpit as a raised bed ala: delias kitchen garden, square foot garden! i have brought all the seeds i will need for spring/summer, and i have a friend promising manure! were almost good to go, all i need now is some nice weather at the weekend!

so please excuse me while i lurk some more

Good luck with your little patch - many of us start small and go on to greater things. This year a small patch - next year ...the Allotment!

Good luck with your allotment quest - 6th on the list is better than not being on the list at all eh?

Feel free to lurk around, and good luck with your sandpit.

Hi Sarah - I started with a small plot in the garden last year, this year I finally got my allotment and now have the happy task of finding another use for the space in the garden! Never mind lurking, come join in .. And good luck with the growing.

Hi Sarah! It took me nearly 2 years to finally get an allotment, while I was waiting I had a small patch in the back garden and lots and lots of containers, it's amazing what you can grow in a small space!
Just think of this waiting time as planning time and when you do finally get your own allotment it will be fabulous!!

Oooops! Must have missed your post saying you'd been offered a plot!!!
                        Congratulations!!!
