  • Boo!

    Hi guys.

Am very much the novice, really, although I've dabbled with various plants. At the moment I'm still at the 'if it's pretty, I'll let it grow' stage of gardening, but have learnt lots of fancy names in the past year or so, ha ha!

Am growing my own fruit and veg for the second time, but in a new garden. Most common inhabitant is the Slimy One, hence the login name. Other pets (I have house slugs, too, but they're allowed, as they clean the mould off the old tiles behind the cupboards) are my cat (very helpful in the garden - he, um, keeps the soil aerated) and two ponies, for ample supply of manure!

Specialist interests are Organic Gardening and growing my own food in my little cottage garden in Surrey.

I expect I shall need lots of advice over the coming years and hope I can start to dish some out, once I gain more knowledge!!

    ttfn,

    Diane

Welcome to the grapevine, the souce of much wisdom and considerable hilarity!

Thanks guys. I did lob my own snails this morning, Flummery (wot's that?). They make good cat toys, as he chases the little buggers. I think they have a very small shuttle bus to get back to the garden, though. That, or they're making Snail 'Wheelie Shoes', like those kiddies in the shopping centres!
