Hello all - Just found the site today and am hoping to take advantage of the wealth of information that appears to be available. Hopefully, after a bit more time spent gardening I'll be able to contribute myself.

I was lucky enough to get a plot in Merrylee allotments in Glasgow (only a year on a waiting list!); my boyfriend and I are slowly working the cleared bits and wondering whether to deal with the couch grass now or leave it until next year.

I look forward to learning from all of you!

Hiya I'm new as well and hoping to learn lots too!! I have some raised beds in my garden - no allotment. Tried a few things last year in pots with varied success so this year decided to have a go with raised beds.

Hello other new people!

We (myself, husband + 4 children) have just taken on an allotment. We are very keen but also very amateur. Have joined site to chat to like minded people and work out how to get something, other than weeds, to grow.
