Hallo there another novice gardener. Decided to dig up part of the garden and grow our own vegetables. Surprise, surprise they seem to be coming up. As we live directly by the sea I was a bit hesitant whether they would grow. Can anybody tell me if seaweed is good.

It's good to use on the land - rinse off the salt first! I'd put it in the composter first but I think some people use it directly. It's also good to eat - if you get the right types - and avoid the sewage outfall!

I also live on the coast - look forward to hearing what is growing for you - this is my first year of growing veg in garden. Dining room table is covered with seed trays!! Would love a greenhouse but think garden too exposed to the elements and gales especially in winter.
Have thought about seaweed also but as Flummery has said I've read that using it via little in compost bin is best but as I haven't tried I don't know for sure.

      Good luck
