  • New To Veg Gardening In France!

I am not only new to veg in France but have only grown runner beans and corgettes in England so will need the kind help from many of you!!

Our house in france has been demolished and is being rebuilt, but Because I am potty I have bought some currant bushes. If I plant them in the small area I have at the moment, can I move them when my veg garden becomes available. i.e. when the builders go?

you have to tell us where you are in france exactly.
and yes you can move your bushes but expect them to delay a little whilst they readjust.....
and builders never go ...they just fade away and then they come back again.......

Hi there- and welcome to the Vine!!

You are a lot braver than we are- our French house was done up 20 yrs ago- 17th Century outside and 1980's inside!!!!

No major work to do though- so we are concentrating on the garden!

If you can add your rough location to your profile, it will be easier to give you more accurate advice

Yes- as Jardiniere says- you can move them later- they'll just need a bit of TLC afterwards ( Autumn is the time to move them if you are in a hot region).
( we are in the North- but I'm nursing a fair bit of sunburn after yesterday reached 30C here!!)Ouch........

Let us know what your plans are for the garden...we're a nosy bunch....well I'm not ...but some of the others are !!
