Hello to all from a newbie to the site, i have enjoyed 'pottering' in my garden for many a year, but last year i got my first allotment. Its been hard work getting it into shape, but its looking ok and i am beginning to plant out my veggies. Fingers x'd for a successful harvest lolol

Hi citygirl, yep, was sunny for a while, uncovered all my 'tenderlings' ,after the rush last night when frost was forecast, to cover them all up. Awoke to sunshine and not a sign of frost lol. Oh well better to be safe than sorry.

ahh was thinking bout that. all my stuff is in pots. cus all i've got is a paved yard. so i'm thinking that white petroleum jelly on the pots might work(saw someone else recommend it on here i think...)

i haven't got an allotment (yet!) i'm just growing in the back garden at the moment. we moved here about 6 months ago and dug up a bit of lawn to build raised beds and my OH is almost finished building me a greenhouse, but we need more space! There are some allotments near us on Rochdale Rd in Greetland and i'm trying to get on the waiting list there. I don't drive so the others in the area are too far away.
                      Where are you based?
                      xx
