Hi everyone, a novice allotment holder saying hello!! So novice that we have literally just taken one on that needs lots of work before we'll be growing much!! We've only grown the basics in our garden before - tomatoes, cumcumbers, strawberries etc and mushrooms for the first time this year!! My eight year old is looking forward to having her own patch of the allotment, and my husband is being roped in to do the digging as I am nearly eight months pregnant! We are also hoping to get some chickens when we've sorted out our garden (some serious demolishing needing to be done!) but it won't be suitable for veggies, so garden will be for animals (we also have two dogs, a cat, rabbit and guinea pig!) and plants and playing and allotment for good healthy food!
