  • Hi from North Carolina

My name is Bunny and I live in Charlotte. I just moved here recently. I am new to gardening myself but always loved gardens. I am looking for information about organic urban farming. I am a social activist who is concerned about GMO's in our food supply. I hope to join with other gardener's and small farmers on this site to alert people about these issues and how they affect us. I look forward to chatting with you!

Another from over the pond. Welcome to our humble abode.

I'm not a small farmer, more a lofty new gardener, but there are some shorter people on here...

They'll be along in a minute, you can hear the rustling as they walk.

Hi and welcome to the vine Bunny. I am one of the shorter people on here, and definitely an amateur gardener not a farmer! I look forward to hearing how your growing conditions compare to ours in the UK. I know from experience that gardening in Atlanta, GA, is a whole 'nother experience
      Happy Gardening,

Hey there, bunny, welcome to the vine. I'm in the South too and I definitely share your concern about genetic modification. Where did you move from? I moved to TN from New England, quite a difference with the weather/growing season.

Hi Bunny and welcome I think lots of people are becoming more concerned about the origins of their food, for many different reasons. We are worried about where it's come from, what has been sprayed onto it, how many miles it has travelled, and not to mention the rising cost. Certainly over here, it seems that more people are trying to grow as much of their own food as possible. Is it something that is becoming more popular where you are?
