hello, it's the first time on the grapevine and it's great to know that there's so much help out there! I have a half plot which a friend and i got last year. i'm muddling along but he's alot better than me so the plot looks quite nice at the moment. it took us a year tho. we have huge potato plants - can't wait to pull the first ones up! mangetout which we've eaten every day (anyone know what recipes there are for mangetout apart from stir fries?!), beetroots, kohlrabi, turnips (just planted), yellow courgettes (not doing so well), sprouting brocolli, runner beans, tomatoes and lots of rainbow radishes. we will also put rainbow carrots in shortly. my friend also put in raspberry canes and blackberry and gooseberry bushes. it's all looking great but i'm under no illusions that things could change! would love a tip though for our sandyish soil. when wet it's great but when we've had a few days sun it's like dust. shall i just keep adding lots of compost?

hi! i bought them from thompson&morgan. i loved the colours. have to say it's taken a year to get to the stage we're at. almost got chucked off in the early stages as we weren't working hard enough! though last years weather was pretty grim!
