  • Greetings from the land of concrete cows!!!

    Hi everyone!

I am brand spanking new to growing my own stuff and very ashamed to say I got the bug from watching Jamie at Home (hides from stuff being thrown at her)...if it helps I love to cook so it goes hand in hand really

I currently have some herb seeds in pots, a small chilli plant, a small tomato plant and an alpine stawberry plant all kindly bought by my mum who fell off the sofa laughing when I said I had bought a grow bag!

    Anyway...howdy!!!

A warm welcome to you also from the land of the concrete cows.

I can see you have the makings of a nice sauce but don't think it will go with the strawberries though.
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Hi Charleyrogue and welcome. There's nothing wrong with watching Jamie at Home, I always want to eat whatever he's cooked and if he's encouraging people to grow their own fruit and veg all the better. You'll have the last laugh when your mum tastes your fresh produce Whereabouts are you situated, and are you growing in a garden or on a patio?

Gemlady, have you never heard of the concrete cows, they have been the butt of many jokes about where we live.

Hi! I'm in Milton Keynes! At the moment everything is in pots with some compost and I have a grow bag ready for using- a rather random shopping trip where I didn't really know what to get My stepdad has kindly said I can use part of the garden but I'm looking into the soil sides of things as I think ours might be a bit weird. I love Jamie Oliver so much! I want his house with his gardens!!

Stacey Steve: Hello fellow milky beans habitant! I'm aiming to cover dinner and dessert with the stuff I've started on
