Hi there everyone, I'm eny (pronounced eeny) and I'm a country boy living near Marlow in Buckinghamshire.

I have only been growing my own veg for 2 years now- mainly just carrots and leaves last year but now leeks and brassicas too.

I am a fan of the Square Foot Gardening technique, using a soil-less growing medium in 4 foot square raised beds, and growing crops within their own foot squares- numbers depending on size. 16 carrots, nine leeks, 1 cabbage; sort-of-thing. I love the magazine and have been reading it since the start and have only just discovered the forum!

Welcome to the Vine Eny. I know there's a bit of interest in the square foot gardening method on here, so other Grapes will look forward to your advice. I'm planning to try it myself - along with a lot of other things.
