  • Another one from Yorkshire

    Hi everyone,

Me and my OH have decided to become more self sufficient so we're giving growing our own fruit and veg a go - hoping it gets our 4 kids to eat a bit better too.
We're completely new to this gardening lark but seem to be doing ok so far. I got so excited the other day when I spotted our first tomato, everybody thought I was mad.
We're growing tomatoes, strawberries, blackberries, peppers, peas, apples, melon, gooseberries, carrots, cauliflower and raspberries.
Kind of just practicing this year and going to start properly when all the garden is finished.
So, any tips and advice would be very welcome and does anybody know of a really good garden centre somewhere close to Barnsley, South Yorkshire?

    Em

You WILL get madder as time progresses! Welcome to the vine.

Sane people are BORING. You don't have to be mad when you come here, we'll soon sort that out!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
